JOB MISSION:

As a Licensing Associate, you will assist the accessory team with the successful development, design, and merchandising of core product lines that meet the brand’s long-term business plans and vision.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in product development for regional accessories. Work closely with apparel and footwear product teams to develop accessories aligned with seasonal needs and palettes.
  • Conduct market trend analyses and product elevation strategies on a seasonal basis
  • Evaluate prototypes and in-line products to recommend continuous improvements
  • Perform data entry into product line management system
  • Prepare and deliver formal product presentations internally and externally
  • Demonstrate understanding of product creation process, products, and systems while adhering to product creation calendar
  • Lead the product development and project management for all New York Road Runners accessories needs. Manage the NB and
  • NYRR approvals, work cross-functionally with footwear, apparel, marketing and sales teams to deliver on key promo & retail event activations
  • Work with sales, marketing, & apparel and footwear GBUs to identify accessories opportunities at retail through SMUs or account specific promotions
  • Identify product gaps in the New Balance accessories assortment and assist with the Licensing team’s course of action to fill them

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • 3 to 5 years of business experience, including ideally 2+ years of experience in product management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related area
  • Ability to think critically and provide constructive insight in a collaborative environment
  • Superior verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Potential domestic and international travel
